Saltwater Aquarium Lighting Forum for saltwater aquarium lighting topics. Perhaps one of the most expensive components in a reef tank set up, lighting is a topic that should researched thoroughly by the hobbyist. The type of lighting you use will determine which corals you can keep. There are several options for lighting such as T5-HO, VHO, Metal Halide, Power Compact and more recently LED. The new LED set ups are rather expensive but they can save you money in the long run.

The anemone alone probably requires much more light than the PCs are giving to the tank.

55W 4000K PC bulbs? I've used 6500K PC Day bulb for planted tank but never heard of 4000K day!!
Ususally w/ 48" fixture which hold 4 bulbs, will use 2 x 10000K day\ and 2 x 7100K Actinic for Reef Tank. Don't know dimension of your tank!!
W/ 220W PC on 55 G tank, should be ok for most LPS, softies and anemone as anemone will move to prefered area. Concerned w/ Tridacna Clam which will do far better under MH but can be kept provided placed high above.
For 75 G tank, would recommend more lighting on timers!!!
