What are they?

I'm reading a little about MH's and came across the following abbreviations:

HQI TS
HQI TS/NDL
HQI TS/D

Can someone decipher these hieroglyphics?

Because my fingers are hot and tired from answering posts today
You have to give the light room to stay cool or put little fans on them. they can seriously over heat your tank if you don't. They are also hot to the touch.

I know OSRAM is a German company (I think?). But there is an exact same word in Polish language. The word "osram" in Polish means ... lol, I can't say it here on Fish Lore because the word will be substituted with stars (***). Anyway, it means "I will take a crap on something", i.e. "I will sh*t on something", LOL! For example, "I will sh*t on you". LOL, it's funny how different words mean nice things in some languages, and the exact same words mean some funny/ugly/terrible things in other languages.

P.S. Carol is right about metal halide lighting. I've heard and read the same. Many people will hung the metal halide lights over the tank. That is, they'll hang the lights from the ceiling.

Yep you are so right Isabella
I was saying in the language thread the other day. I sign and you have to be so careful how you use your hands because one hand gesture means B***h and the same hand gesture used just a tiny bit different asks if you want breakfast. LOL

LOL, yeah, haha
In one of my English college books, called "Business Writing", there is an entire section on how various body gestures (especially hand gestures) mean TOTALLY different things in various countries. If I have the time, I'll scan some interesting excerpts and post them on Fish Lore. Some things are too funny. Ex. this: is considered OFFENSIVE in some countries, lol

Gender is indicated to the side of the face. Female to the lower half and male to the upper half. some gestures are at the front of the face and some cultures are very strict about parts of the face being dirty(nose, mouth) so you have to be aware of who you are signing to.

I know, it's all too funny, hehe. When you're in a different country, you better walk straight and not make any gestures at all (just to stay on the safe side). Be very self-conscious, heh
