hey everyone! i want to upgrade my tank lights from flouresent to t5 and am looking for some advice on the best way. is it possible to replace the flourecent end caps on my hood to the ones that fit t5 bulbs or is this not possible? would an overtank luminaire be my best option?

Yes, there are retrofit kits available that allow you to upgrade. Upgrade kits are nearly as expensive as buying a whole new light it seems, but here is an example: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...&N=2004+113175

Hi,

You could take the lid off completely and buy a clip on t5 lighting twin bulbs for about ?50, plus then your tank will be open and it wont over heat.
