It is work for me to keep up with all abbreviation, lol! Thanx. i belileve Nitrosomonas still stand as far as
NH3 is concerned but nitrobacter (
NO2 oxidizing bacteria) seemed to be in question as Nitrospira has emerged.
Either way, I dont believe in all these capped off products on shelves except Turbo Start which is shipped overnight and have to be kept refrigerated for 3 month to be effective. ALthough never tried Turbo Start, it is somewhat similar to one I have tried from Lab shipped overnight. Maybe one day, Ill try Turbos or TSS's efectiveness but someone who will use water/
live sand ,nowdays (very cost effective, lol) directly from Ocean myself, dont know when. I do remember going back about 20 yrs, lab shipment were hit and miss since lots factors were involved such as temp etc. I am sure shipping is more accurate w/ better handling now than 20 yrs ago. But when it worked, it did work well.
Each Lab bacteria were shipped separate time frame since nitrobacter were inactiveactive w/ presence NH3. I believe it was 3 days later.
Just want to share my thought! Good night!
