slime thing...and *rare* algae

We have a 35 gallon salt water aquarium with three hermit crabs, one piece of live rock, and four blue devil damzel fish. Recently, we started to get a large quantity of green algae, which then became what appears to be a form of red, possibly Indonesian, algae. I'm wondering if that is what it is. If it is bad to have in the tank, how do I get rid of it?

We also have a spot, which appears to be a type of bacteria, or something. I have no idea what it is, but I have uploaded pictures of the algae and the spot hoping that someone can tell me what they are and whether they are bad for my tank's environment.

Please Read

I mean to say that I had a 65 gallon tank, not a 35 gallon tank. Sorry!

Check this link, to see if any match. 1 piece of lr is not enough for a 65g tank.. you should have around 65lb

I agree with Peterpiper on getting more live rock. Looks like cyanobacteria. Regular partial water changes and more live rock to help with any accumulating nitrates. Here's some ideas on dealing with this:

Reverse osmosis make-up water, reduced feedings, not using iodine supplements, reduced lighting periods, a protein skimmer (if you don't have one already) increased water movement (powerheads) and maybe get some chaetomorpha algae to compete against it.
