my rosy seems to swallow a flake then spit it right out again, move to the next flake, eat it and spit it back out again. do all rosies do this? i havent noticed it before

Some fish don't like flakes... Do they usually eat the flakes or is this something they just started? Funny enough most of my fish won't eat flakes because either they don't like them period or since they have had frozen foods before and they don't want anything else. Have you tried frozen blood worms, brine shrimp or small pellets?

a rosy barb. i think since the bloodworms and brine shrimp she has gone off boring old flakes

Yep... LOL thats exactly what happened with most my fish. Its sorta like they keep trying to eat the pellets or flakes hoping that it will turn into something really tasty.
