hey guys this is my first post but have been reading the stuff here for the last couple of weeks. Im a newbie at this so i was wondering if anyone has bought a TFC brand RO filter and if they're any good.

To answer your question directly, I would not buy from that seller because, unless the RO units are a ton bigger than the ones I've seen, they're excessively overcharging on shipping (to the point that I wonder if they're breaking eBay's rules of use).

sorry about that....i thought shipping was excessive as for the filter, he has had good reviews about them. i saw someone buy one in another fish forum website and they said "it worked like a charm." So im on the bench about this one

No problems.
Anyway, even with the shipping, that's a fairly sweet price. I just don't buy from sellers who pull that kind of stuff. Back in the early days of eBay, I had to fight my way out of a $.01 buy that had a $20 shipping charge (it was a DVD. Nowhere near $20 shipping). So now I have a personal boycott going against those kinds of deals (I also don't buy from anyone who sets a reserve ).

lol so this hatred towards sellers go way back huh.lol sorry to hear that i hate when they do that though i dont usually buy from ebay. Im buying one from someone local used for $65 but for that price i could get one from ebay, but shipping is the drawback. I hope someone here has had one at sometime
