Small pet turtles?

Does anyone know of turtles that wont grow any bigger than 5inches and can comfortably go in a pair in a 55gallon with some fish? I know musk turtles dont go after fish and stay relatively small but I want to know other species I want to keep fish with the turtle including some corydoras and angelfish or some goldfish (meaning goldfish and turtle) and dont worry about filtration and cycling Iam getting a filter made for a four hundred gallon pond its basically the best filtration system there is. So I just want to know peaceful turtles and small ones to boot.

well you need to find out what kinds of turtles you can actually get. If you get them through a store you're probably limited to 2...maybe 3 species.

I'm lucky enough to have a Reptile "show" where dozens of breeders bring their stock in to sell. They're very knowledgeable and have a huge variety of species. You'll have to see if you have something similar near you.

(They call it a "show" so they can operate like a zoo and not deal with all the licensing and taxes that pet stores endure...but they're definitely there to sell)

Yeah I have access to pretty much to any water based animal. :/ I have a friend who can pull some strings for me o.o (complicated dont even bother asking....not trying to be rude o.o) xD But like I want to mix atleast one or two small turtles with an angel fish which is possible as long as both as peaceful so yeah.

I think you're going to have alot of trouble finding a turtle that could behoused with your fish. Honestly, turtles should be housed alone.

I know musk turtles do fine with goldfish and a few certain species.

The goldfish, which are usually kept in horrible conditions, could also introduce disease. The fish could stress the turtle and the other way around. The turlte could also try to eat the goldfish-musk turtles are omnivorous. The musk turtle will also require a land area and shallow water. Why would you want to mix species? You will definitely see the turtle thrive alone and see its true personality.

Well it doesnt need a land area seeing as I did that (when it was alone) only went on it to sleep and only the submerged part. As for the goldfish carrying diseases Iam not going to get it from a petstore. Iam getting it from a local breeder that is been known to breed fancy goldfish. And the musk turtle is omnivorous but it literary cannot catch a fish. Like its even been written, because once I tried to see if itd eat minnows and it didnt. And I thought goldfish werent nippers
