Several species of geckos are fairly easy to keep.
Leopard geckos are probably one of the easiest species to keep.
They stay small are colorful and are easy to bred.
One drawback about keeping geckos versus other lizards is that geckos do not do well if handeled a lot.
The are best left in the cages.

Leopard geckos are THE gecko to get!!!! They are awesome :-) I have one and she has converted my mom, the reptile hater, into a leopard gecko lover. She even talks to it and she loves to watch it.
She (the gecko, not my mom lol) is pretty easy to take care of too, and it is really fun to feed her.

I will consider getting a leopard gecko. My mom is a reptile hater too, lol.
