How beautiful are the balls I have here (middle 3 pics) wow! The last pic of the balls is a pin-stripe... so expensive! R11 000.00 - thats almos my full salary for one moth!!!
The bottom pic is my all time fav snake since I was a child - gaboon adder - is VERY venomous!

Why? they are awesome pets! you feed the only once a week... they don't bark and make noise... they don't poo all over the show...you don't need to potty train them... they don't run all over and chew things or jump in your plate when you eat... LOL!

Well one day when you are all grown up and living on your own then you can get one

... to add to that...

what makes it worse is that anti venom are so expensive!!! and medical aid will not pay for it if you keep these snakes. And if it's a snake that is not from this area - like the gaboon viper - they will not have anti venom to help you.

I really dont like the idea of some idiots out there having deadly venomous snakes in thier houses. The reason I usually frown on exotic pet shows.

.. yeah! people don't think! the breeder where I get my snakes from have rattle snakes - and as you know rattles are NOT from SA at all... if those bite someone there is NO hospital in the whole of South Africa that will be able to treat that person effectively.

Necrosal venom too, it gets really ugly and some people dont die, just lose body parts. Leave the dangerous snakes to the zoo's folks, there are plenty of beautiful snakes that arent going to kill you if they are having a bad day.

they're gorgeous but so intimidating! i've always wanted to keep a snake but never had the guts to do it, and my mother probably would have cried. she's okay with dogs and cats but go beyond that and she doesn't know what to do, lol
