Apparently, I startled our BD,Flame. I'd stuck my hand down into his tank to take something out of it and I think I spooked the guy 'cause he jumped and gave me a big,FULL BLACK beard along with a wide open mouth. Scared the youknowwhat outta me and I jumped a foot. He's usually such a calm,placid little guy and to see him do THAT was a little freaky.

It was totally my fault though. His back was to me and I didn't talk to him or say anything before I started to put my hand in the tank so I know I scared him,plus he's got a big shed going on and I think its making him a little jumpy.

I told Andy about it and thought it was totally hilarious that his lizard scared the carp outta me! LOL!

The shedding time does make lizard cranky. O The female veil chameleon we had use to be so mean when she was flaking. LOL

yes, the carp! LOL! I used to use that term on another board (not fish related) to not offend those who would be offended by the actually term. Its even more appropriate here, yes?

Congrats! I have beardies too! And yes, that has happened to me quite a few (too many) times.

Its funny how the beard is like getting "the finger" in a way. More innocent, but much more scary.
