Remove the male lab or get a odd man out that likes to inturupt breeding. I have a tropheops that I use for that. Any tank he is in he stops spawning altogether.

They are beautiful fish. I have had luck with that one being an intervention when my fry tanks are packed and I don't need my fish to spawn. But I don't k now what species you will have luck with.
My trpheops is a black dorsal

only one electric yellow its a male.

im thinking of getting rid of him he is now always getting picked on and pushed around and when he is at his new home im going to get a trio of them
1m-2f and have them with my zebras and a few others.

also getting rid of my socolofi hes the main bully in my tank and the smallest for his age.

why is it that most of the time the agressive ones are the smaller ones?
and when other species that are big are nearly always the non aggressive ones?

im thinking of getting some 'hongi' and set up a tank just for them.
and when they get bigger breed them?

there a very nice fish.
who agrees?

Hongi are wonderful. I did find that the hongi is the lesser aggressive of all the species ive kept.
