Added a Redtail shark

Well I added a Redtail shark to my tank yesterday. I know it's to small of a tank but I will be getting a 55 gallon in a month or so. It;s only 2 inches right now and so far it's getting along with all my other fish. I'm up to 75% weekly water changes now since I have alot of fish in there. Can't wait to get the bigger tank.

BUT be very concerned about your cories in a 20g tall, that shark is going to have a major tude after a few weeks of settling in ...I hope you have your new tank soon also!!

Yeah I've added a few cave looking decor's so the shark will have more hiding places. So far he just swim's from cave to cave.

I'd also be very concerned about the otto's, as mr red tail gets older he will become the king of the hood and i think the little guys will be on the hit list. Just making you aware buddy. Good luck,
Nick

unfortunately, the caves are good as he is new to the tank....but the footprint of the bottom of a 20g tall tank, isnt going to keep your cories safe ...its just not big enough for mr shark no matter what size he is....I hope things work out ok!

Well the redtail is adjusting well to my tank and the other fish. It paid off trying to pick the least aggresive shark in the tank. It is getting along really good with all it's tank mate's. The cory's even go in his cave and scavenge around and he won't bother them. He seem's to be playful and likes to play with the cherry barb's.
