well i woke up this morning and turned on the tank lights, my red tails tail was white, but when i came home from work 8 hours later, it was back to being bright orange, any reason for this or is it because he was stressed?

I've seen this happen to my red tail if I turn the lights on when the room is completely dark. When I turn the lights on after the sun has been up for a while his tail looks fine. I don't think you have anything to worry to about. Even my neons look "faded" when the lights first go on. Switching a light on just deosn't quite mimic a sunrise if you know what I mean.

i thought i was seeing things when i turn my lights on the rts tail is sort of white in colour then after 10 mins or so goes back to a nice red tail. i thought something was up with him
