I woke up this morning and after not being greeted by RTBS coming out of his log to take a feed, I had a look around for him and found him floating dead on the bottom, which is a real big surprise as it was only last night I tested my parameters (All fine, apart from the pH seems to have crept from 7 to 7.5). The strange thing is though, on one of his sides he seems to have a dull yellow mark, it doesn't look like a growth eg. ICH, and it certainly wasn't there last night (about, 8 hours before he died). It almost looks like a bruise or a burn, but the heater is working fine and the only fish in there bigger than him is a very peaceful Blue gourami, so i'm completely perplexed.

hey andy sorry for ur loss , i have a blood parit 6" in a 110g and i noticed that on her side there was like a bruise type of mark so i got a friend of mine who works with fish he said he had never seen anything like that before that maybe she was frightened and hit off something .its been a month later and the mark is nearly gone but im still none of the wiser !
