Red devil

hi friends...i am new to cichlid keeping and want some assistance from you guys.
Today i bought a pair of yellow labs and was very much impressed by seeing the red devil there.so,i thought of buying it but did not coz of their aggressiveness.
but the owner of the LFS said that it was a juvenile and it doesnot harm my fish . But i hate believing these people as they think commercially. Please let me know guys.

Welcome!!!

Even as juvies, Red devils are extremely aggressive fish.
Also, were you planning on housing them with the labs?
They require different water conditions.

Welcome to Fishlore!

I would be concerned about moving that many fish into your 25g unless you're going to be moving the temperate fish (the goldfish and the carp) out. All members of the carp family (goldfish and koi included) produce a lot of waste for their size, and the guorami, at least, is very susceptible to poor water quality. That many fish could easily produce enough waste to make the entire tank sick.

Yellow labs are African cichlids and cannot go with a red devil who is American cichlid.
2 different levels of aggression two different parts of the world cannot go together.
