Going with the good old 'honesty is the best policy' line. I am not trying to be rude but truthful. And I thank you for it, you have helped me make a few good decsions regarding my tanks.

I went to the store today and they didn't have any rams(lucky me), but they did have 3 harlequins like the owner said they would. So I got the rasboras and might get a ram in a few months but not now.

Butterfly or anyone else, do you know how big yo-yo loaches really grow too? loaches.com says 6", while 75% of the sites say 3" and my books say 3" as well. So which is it?
Tom
Yep - searching around I've seen everything from 3 inches to 6 inches max. One site said they rarely get over 4 inches in aquaria. But, they have the potential to get to 6. Even at 4-5 inches that's a fairly large fish.
I have 4 yoyos in the 55G three have gotten to be about 5 inches and the fourth is close. when they all quit growing I think they will be between 5 and 6 inches.

Hi Tom. I came across this link on Clown Loaches in a different forum. In all my years I've never kept any loaches so I never realized how huge the clowns can get - up to 16 inches! At that rate, even Butterfly's 75 will be overstocked at some point!
Even though I have already seen that, thanks. I am aware they grow really big, I was going to trade mine for something when it gets to be about 4-6" in length. I don't want it to suffer and not get to it's potetial length.
