I am getting a new 10g tank and I would like to know if I could put a german blue ram in it..

Never mind get some type of tetra instead. Prefer 20.

if he is the only fish, he can ...20 gal is preferred tho....they do better in an established tank (one that has been cycled for a few months )

Yeah mine looks much better and happier in the 20 gallon tank. Maybe some neon tetras would do well.

if you decide to go with the ram, id cycle the tank, add the shrimp, let it run cycled a few months with them, then add the ram..but as a cichlid, he may snack on the shrimp as they molt...ive not kept them so not sure ..

My cichild eats pellets, flakes, bloodworms, and brine shrimp(probably anything I put in the tank). I think the cichild will snack on the shrimp if they are small enough.
