I just purchased two gold rams, there is an obvious difference between the coloring and fins in the two of them, but i am not sure about which is the male and which is the female, does anyone know how to sex them?

I believe one of the ways is the dorsal spine.
In males the first spine will be longer than others, and I believe the second also.
Females are generally a fair bit smaller.

its not letting me post more of the pictures that i took, hopefully the two i put up wil help. the second pict ( one with only one fish) is the same fish fromt he other picture.
