| | Fish Mentor | Could you post pics? Also, what other fish are in the tank and what are your water parameters? 150g sounds like plenty of space, so the aggression isn't making sense to me. |

Good pictures of each species can be seen in these threads: Sexing German Blue Rams Sexing Bolivian Rams
That said, "long-finned" and "balloon" are strains usually associated with the german blue ram. |

| | Fish Helper | yeah the baloon looked like the german but the other one look like the bolivian (color) but his eye is red
and they chase for the time they see each other? wow they are my slowest fish after my plecos.. they swim really slow compare to my barbs
if they are blue german they are both males.
should i add 2 females? Last edited by Chopstick; August 1st, 2009 at 09:51 PM.

| | Fish Keeper | i agree, they look different, in the third picture, the one on the right looks like a german blue, and the left one looks like a bolivian. I think more shelters and caves should do this some good, if not, do you think you could take one or the other back to the store? |

bolivian ram are really hard to sex | You have two GBRs. I'd buy 3-4 females of the same species if you are lucky enough to find them. |

| | Fish Bum | Most fish stores don't accept returns due to compatability. However, most of the time if you ask them to simply take the fish back for nothing in return they will accept the fish back. It sucks to lose the money, but it's a cheap lesson and the fish don't suffer. I had to do this with a fish I bought. I think my corys are still shell shocked from that fish chasing them. A 150g is massive though for 2 Rams. Wierd. |

Wierd. | At less those rams doesnt fight animore but one of the GBR ( the more colored one ) found his territory under a driftwood and chase every other fish that goes near it. The one is peaceful and swim reallly slow.
