Sorry about your Ram, Lucy.
I need to invest in a good dig cam I think.
The fish were getting along fine and I thought I had a pair, but this aggression from the healthy one is making me wonder. Maybe they just weren't compatible or the male turned on the female because she was stressed or sick. I'm not ready to give up, yet.
It's much harder to tell with the stressed one since he/she has little color, but he/she doesn't have the spiked 2nd/3rd dorsal fin. So I'm thinking female. The one in the pics above might have a longer spiked dorsal fin, but it kind of 'flops' down and doesn't spike at the moment. That fish is doing very well, btw - competes with the Boesemani at feeding time.
Maybe I'll try adding a few more with the healthy one at a later time. Maybe from a different source even though my current source seems to get the best stock around these parts. Last edited by Kivstev; May 22nd, 2009 at 04:22 PM.
