Bolivian Tank Size

So I added a Bolivian to my 29g about a week ago. There were no problems at all between him and my rainbow shark. All of a sudden yesterday, I noticed my poor Bolivian being relentlessly pursued, even with a little nip in her fin. I removed her to my 10g quarantine where she has looked so much happier (I added rocks plants etc to make her feel more at home). Will she be ok in a 10g as a more permanent solution?

If she's by herself and it's a standard 10g (not one of the various vertical types) she should be fine. Good call on adding decor for cover...she'd probably enjoy a cave of some sort as well.

It's not ideal but it's way better than getting beaten up in the 29 -- well done, having a spare tank for emergencies

yes it is a standard 10g...and she seems to be living the high life. She is much more active and responsive to external stimuli now that she is by herself. I made a cave by chipping a little "door" in a clay pot, but she seems to prefer hiding under a Greek column covered in Java Moss leaning against the glass.

...and in just the overnight that she has been in there, she has begun to show colors, yellow, pink, blues...she's really cool.

Your ten gal tank will be ideal for your Bolivian ram. It seems that bolivians like to keep to the bottom of the tank, as does the RTS and I can only guess that the RTS was chasing the ram out of its territory.
It sounds like your ram is now very happy and I wish the best for it. And I agree, it was a good call on your part to separate them.
EDIT:
opps.. thought you had a RTS and not a rainbow shark.. sorry 'bout that!
