Ram photos
Please use this topic to post your Ram photos. It's stickied so it appears at the top of the posts. Please use your own pictures, and not material from the internet.
While your compliments on the photos are really appreciated, text-only posts will be removed after a while to keep the gallery pictures-only. If there is a discussion you do not want to loose, please start it again in a separate thread.

Re: Ram photos
The first is a German Blue Ram
The second is a Bolivian Ram
The third is the Ram tank as it was first set up
The first ram (farthest away) is a German Blue ram and the one closest is a Bolivian Ram. when the plants grew in it looked like a jungle

The male GBR:
That is one of the most colorful bolivian rams I have ever seen Butterfly, I thought it was a GBR at first glance.

Re: Ram photos
Howeyg- the first two are excellent examples of male and female rams.
For ID purposes- the first spine on the dorsal fin of the female is shorter that the others and her tummy is kind of pinkish purple.
The first spine on the dorsal fin of the male is longer than the others and he has no color change in the tummy.

Re: Ram photos
Another one of Pablo - even though Miguel is the dominant one, I never get any decent photos of him :
Nice rams Howeyg! Females are very pretty.

Re: Ram photos
It doesn't look like a Bolivian at all, though. The body shapes, colours and eyes are completely different. Bolivians don't have those blue shimmery scales like blues and golds do, or the red faces. Bolivians have much larger eyes and a big black line on their face as well as a differently shaped tail fin, and the prdeominant yellow colour is absent on Bolivians.
Just because it's larger doesn't mean it's a Bolivian!

Re: Ram photos
Here is a pic of one of my rams chasing a lemon tetra away. The second pic is of my male ram hiding in his little home made cave.
