AARRGGGHH you guys have such beautiful Rainbows! I can't get my thread fin rainbows to be still( I know I'm dreaming ) long enough to get good pics.
carol
Mine won't stay still either. Without a digital camera I would fail. I take LOTS of pictures...around 20 to get just the two. (Mollies are like my dog. As soon as I get a camera near they are curious and want to see what I am doing. So... lots of NOSE pictures.) The rainbows just swim back and forth. With the digital delay, I try to anticipate where the will be when the picture is recorded.
No there not Duboulayi they are Melanotaenia Herbertaxalrodi or Yellow Rainbow ,but i was sold them as Melanotaenia Trifasciata that's the trouble with rubbish fish shops ,but when they are full grown they will be great fish .
Im in the process of trying to get some good photos of the rainbows, as you know they do move around alot! lol Heres one of the photos. Trying without the flash since it leaves a bright spot on them.
Second photo is with my lil lone german blue ram who is much happier with another group of smaller fish that swim around.

Some more new pictures of my bows ,i wish they would stop swimming for a few minutes 20 shots for 1 good one ,what would we do without a digital camera.
Hi ,thanks my tanks not bad but i would love to have real plants but the clown loaches trash them as soon as i put them in ,so i use silk ones.
Yes they are quite big boys the Boesmanis and the reds are about 4" now and i think they are now mature ,it took them about 1 year but well worth the wait .
