bosemani rainbows in a thirty gallon?

i am in the process of cycling a thirty gallon tank right now, and i was wondering if it would be appropriate to have a couple of bosemani rainbows. i see them at petco and i want them really bad, but i don't know if my aquarium will be big enough to facilitate them. i don't even know if they will still have them by the time i am done cycling, but once i saw them i decided that i wanted them to be the main attraction of my new aquarium. i then found out that they can get fairly large. please help me make this decision! i have to go to school now, but i will check back later today.

As long as they have enough room to swim they should be fine (keep in mind the inch per gallon montra and also the relative size of the fish). The problem is Rainbows like to be in schools of at least 6 and need lots of swimming room. They also need PERFECT water, so a freshly cycled tank is iffy.

Do some research on the needs and habits of them as they are a little tricky.

30g would be fine for a couple of boesman, you might also want to look at the turquoise rainbows, they dont look like much as the store but are beautiful once happily adjusted to a tank at home
remember rainbow fish are schooling fish and are happy in numbers of around 6

They do like to school. But, if the rest of the tank is still empty consider a school of rainbows. There are many cool varieties that will school together. It makes a colorful tank.
