Question!!! I have a green spotted puffer that I've had for about a year now. He's only about an inch and a half and that's how big he was when I purchased him. I've read that these can reach up to six inches. Are they supposed to be this slow-growing or is there a dwarf version that might have been sold to be by mistake? I'm a little confused.. I think I have a tiger barb bigger than him. He's still my favorite though :-)

if you have a small tank or bad water it can stunt growth, also figure 8 puffers and green spot puffers look alike... figure 8's get up to 4" and is much less aggressive, while the green spot puffer is very aggressive and gets up to 6"

What sized tank is he in? And what kind of water (freshwater, brackish, saltwater)?
GSPs need at least a 30g to themselves, and brackish to marine conditions to be able to grow to their full size and live long happy lives.

He's in a 55 gal with a few cichlids and a synodontis cat. Everyone gets along great, and I'm pretty sure he's not a figure 8, the markings on a figure 8 look different. ( See my album for pics)
