Could I keep a dwaf puffer in my 10g? Probably be the only fish in the tank.

Will be putting sand as the substrate, heavily planted.

yes, a 10g is perfect for a DP

You could actually put 3 DP's in a 10g, if you have no more than 1 male and it's heavily planted.

1 puffer per 30 gallons is for green spotted pufferfish, which is a different species. Dwarf puffers are much much much smaller. They'd love a 10g!
