I think Wilhelm has ICH :-(. For a few days he's been acting just a tiny bit "off". I can't really explain it, but I could tell. It's like he wasn't as vicious when he ate or something. I tested the water yesterday, and it was perfect, 0-0-8ish. Today he's acting really lethargic. He eyed the snails I dropped in there but didn't go after them. At first I thought he had some sand on his back, but now I'm thinking ich since he's acting sick and it isn't falling off.

Is Jungle Ick Clear Tank Buddies safe to use on puffers? It says to halve the dose for scaleless fish. It doesn't list copper in the ingredients, but I wanted to be sure. I can't raise the temperature because it's one of those tetra heaters that keeps the temp at one certain point all the time.

We're going out of town today and coming back tomorrow, so I'm not going to be able to stay and watch him today. What should I do?

False alarm, as in nevermind! Apparently it was just sand. I went back in there to check on him again and he was swimming around with no specks on him and he ate a couple of snails. I think that maybe when he was acting weird earlier he was just still asleep. I can tell when he's asleep because of the way his eyes look. Really! I can! They have kind of a thin yellow ring around the red! If I turn on the light in the middle of the night for any reason he's sitting still and his eyes look like that.

Haha that's so cool that his eyes look different when sleeping. I've never heard of that. Glad to know your guy isn't sick For future reference, I'd probably try IchAttack before I'd try Jungle, because IchAttack is 100% organic and I've had good luck with it in the past

Yup, I've noticed my F8's eyes look different after just sleeping/turning on the light to after he has 'woken up.'
