is it normal for dwarf puffers to hang out in little nooks and crannies on the bottom and just kinda lay around? pretty much only does it in the morning, basically when i turn the lights on. most other times it is up and around swimming and investigating things.

really neat fish. my first one. can't get it to eat snails tho. or bloodworms that aren't moving. so it gets fed out of a eye dropper where i can make the bloodworm move. spoiled little fish.

it's eatin and poopin, and breathing is normal. pretty much just like it's sleeping.

I've never kept them myself. Pinky will be a good one to answer you. I'm sure she'll see it. They are such a neat fish. Sadly the only one's I've seen have been kept in horrible conditions at WalMart.

My first thought was that it's just sleeping If you only see this around the time you turn the lights on then I wouldn't be concerned.

that's kinda what i think. it's just takin it easy chillin. don't think it's sick or anything.

i keep referring to it as "it" cause i'm waitin for the stripe to develop to see if it is a male or female.

Hehe, yeah that's a good idea. My poor DP Ambellina turned out to be a male...
