how many snails in a tank of GSP?

my husband and i are getting snails for our 2 GSP . Quick question. Iknow they think they should always eat so should we put all the snails in their tank or should i put in only a few at a time. i do have more tanks i can put the snails in until their demise.

When i read your posts title i was going to answer " only as many as they can eat" I see that's your intent lol. Still my answer. Really it depends on the gsp usual eating habits. I don't believe snails should be used as a staple but as a treat i am no expert tho, Pinkfloydpuffer will probably respond to your post.

Depends on the kind of snail. But I give my guys one snail each maybe twice a week or so.

why dont you get some new plants for one of your other tanks, wait a little while, and when snails get out of hand, just toss a couple in the puffer tank.

I've tried every trick in the book! LOL Brought in plants that I saw had snail eggs on them, bought 50 ramshorns, got free snails from the petstore and let them roam as they wish.... I think they eat their babies so they can laugh at me. Evil little things

You're telling me. I think I might actually have to get a puffer tank sooner or later. The little devils are driving me up the wall!
