new green spotted puffers

GSP help. I wanted 2 know if gravel is preferable or should i use sand. any help will be appreciated!!!!!!

I think either can be used.
Are they in a brackish tank?

They are in brakish water. Do u have a recomendation on what kind of sand i should get they are coming home on friday evening so the tank could get set up

congrats!

i'd definitely suggest pool filter sand, it's heavier and smoother than play sand and will rinse a whole lot cleaner. since it's heavier it's not as likely to clog your filter or get sucked up by your gravel vacuum.

I recommend an aragonite-based sand to buffer your pH.
