New GSP need help

okay I'm a fairly new fish keeper, in the past I have kept guppies but not alot really goes into guppy care so I guess I over estimated the challenge when I bought a baby GSP.

His name is Huey. And I think he might be ill. The shopkeeper sold me aquarium salt and on the back it said pour a rounded tablespoon in for every five gallons. I told the shopkeeper that I only have a five gallon aquarium for the moment and he said that it would be fine until he gets bigger.

I have a feeling he didn't tell me everything I need to know. Right now Huey's belly is grey and he twitches when I turn on the light. But when I turn off the light most times his belly will return to it's solid white state. He eats fine and begs normally for food like a puffer should. I feed him sundried shrimp and snails that the pet shops give me for free to trim his beak.

Is it perhaps that he has no real hiding place that he seems so nervous and twitchy all the time?

Thank you for your help!

Hi! You can click on the link here: GSP to read an article I wrote about them. Also check out this: General Guide to Puffer Care
You should use marine salt instead of aquarium salt for your little guy. And I wouldn't keep them in a 5g for any amount of time. Hiding places are definitely a must, as it seems he's rather stressed. Keep the lights off for a few days as well.
