GSP general help please

Hello,
I am in the process of settling my GSP into her new home and have run into a few questions. So if anyone can lend me some help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, in advance.

1) I am guessing that Pixie is about 2 to 2.5 inches including her tail. I don't know how old she is. Given her size, what would be recommended for food and feedin schedules? I read the articles on feeding, however, I'm not sure if Pixie would be considered a smaller puffer or a larger puffer yet. For the moment, I've been feeding her bloodworms and snails. I wanted to try some shrimp and crab but wasn't sure if she is big enough yet. Also, given her size, should I still be feeding her daily or every other day?

2) I read somewhere that the shrimp should be fresh, uncooked shrimp. Forgive me my ignorance, please, I do not even eat any kind of fish let alone something like shrimp. Would a bag of small raw shrimp from the freezer section work? I checked Walmart and that was the only shrimp I could find that didnt say 'cooked'. Or does it need to be something fresh (as in never frozen?)? I'm just confused, lol.

3) I'm picking up some hampster tubes tomorrow to put in Pixie's tank. Is it okay to set up almost like a maze or does it have to be just short, straight lines?

Thanks again,
Tiffany

1. You should be able to tell by how fat her tummy is when she needs to eat You can certainly give her those foods though.

2. Yeah, that'd be fine.

3. You'll have to see what she likes. Some puffers won't go in if it's too long and twisty, cause they don't know if they can get back out!

Gavin; i have a lot of the hampster tubes and i use short and long and they kind of decide what they like lol and feeding the frozen id fine and make sure that nothing is added -ex; like smoked mussels ect; and cut into smaller pieces. I feed when they are hungrey as long as it's not too often lol as Pink say's until their belly is round -not bloated, and they have in the food stores a little bag of scallops and shrimp lol and i am going to try that for mine and they are raw and just cut small and remove what they don't eat. Hope this helps, PS. put in freezer thus making it easier to cut up when you are ready to feed, and if it has the shell on-it makes it easier for you to cut up. bella
