puffer 1, 2 or 3?

Pink has sucked me into wanting to get a puffer so i was wondering which one to get. right now my tank is a community freshwater tank so i cant get a Puffer right now bu i want to be prepared so in about 3-5 years i could change my 55g to a puffer tank. my 3 fav. are the green puffer, figure 8 puffer, and the... green spotted puffer! but wich one to get (cues pink). would all 3 of those get along, i dont think they will bu just want to be sure. also any other info on them would be great, thanks!

no i definitely wouldn't keep the three together, the DP is freshwater and the F8s and GSPs are not. also the GSP would probably end up trying to eat the others. for a 55 gallon i'd go with either three F8s (maybe four, not 100% sure), two GSPs (one if you want to be on the safe side), or you could have a whole bunch of DPs, i'd say maybe 8 or 9

Yes, we are, and I am trying to get some homework done. Which isn't happening because I hate school. Anyways...

What do you mean by the Green Puffer? The only also known as Ceylon perhaps?
Ceylons and GSPs make good tankmates, but your tank is too small for a Ceylon and a GSP. You'd have to do one or the other.

You could have up to 5 figure 8s, or 2 GSPs, provided you can keep up on the water quality. F8s and GSPs should never be housed together, as they have different salinity requirements, and GSPs are more aggressive.

Just make sure you're ready to do the whole brackish turn into saltwater thing.

Well, technically they'd be fine at 1.015SG for the duration. But it's easier to just kick it up to full SW and get the LR and protein skimmer so you don't have to do water changes as often. They do just as well at full SW as they do at high brackish. I do hear they often have growth spurts when moved to SW though
