Quick question for PFP

After a mamoth tank shuffle I have now ended up with a 10 (imp) gal tank sat there with not a lot in it.

If I were to cycle it back up would it be suitable for a couple of Dwarf puffers?

Having decided that it is indeed suitable, depending on your answer, are dwarfs a suitable fish for someone who has mastered the arts, arcane as they are, of managing not to kill simple tropical freshwater fish like dannios, plattys, neons, mollies and ancistrus,to attempt as the next level of fish keeping?

Plants are not an issue I would not have a tank that did not have live plants in it, caves and rocks are mere bagatels.

But after 6 months of fish keeping are Dwarf Puffs ready for me?

ps Tank is only 18x12x12

My first fish were two green spotted puffers, so yes, I think that 6 months of experience would definitely help. It seems that the more research you do on puffers the better it goes.
10 gallons would be a wonderful home for two dwarf puffers. You could maybe get a few otos as well if you'd like.

Thanks Pink.

Otos? Going back to the "if it moves, I eat it" comment would they be safe.

And, in addition, I dont seem to be able to keep Otos for some reason. Out of 8 I now have 3 living, and thriving I may add, specimens in 2 tanks.

Oooooooh, if that's the case, then I'd stick with one.

For some reason DPs and otos are a proven pair. Not sure why, but it seems to always work.
Otos are particularly hard to acclimate.

In that case, yes, 2 DPs would find it a puffer paradise
