Dear Ambellina

Ok, I'll tell ya what's in the bag
We went to the store that's about an hour away from our home, and when they got there they only had one of these guys left. I would've been so mad and sad if there weren't any!
So here's my dear Ambellina! I'm pretty sure she's a female. Although it's a bit early to tell. She's a little half-inch ball of joy. Sorry I don't have any pics of her in the tank yet... I just have her acclimating in the bucket and in the bag, she is still pretty nervous getting used to her new home.
I'm so excited, she's a doll!

Hee hee...I was going to say dwarf in your happy birthday thread because I could see her in there!!!!..But I didn't want to be wrong..lol..Can't wait to see pics of her in her new home..I'll be waiting..I think I'm going to rehome my glofish...They are so fiesty and I think they are too much for my dwarf gourami..I'm going to get him two girls though..lol..Then I'll have a empty 10 gallon...It would be perfect for two dwarfs. I'm still considering!!!

Just a question, how are you pronouncing the name? You spelled it with two 'l's, in Spanish that is a letter that sounds like ay-ye. So is it Ambelina, (with the l sounding l) or 'Ambeyeena'? I was just wondering.

Thanks everyone!!!

Megusta... it's more of the Italian pronounciation, so it's Am-bell-eena. Belle means beauty and ina means little, so she's a little beauty! And I really got her name from a song.

Thanks!

She's still very nervous... also hasn't eaten yet. I'm looking into live blackworms for her. Also, tomorrow I am going to rescape her tank, as the current setup just isn't doing it for her.

EDIT: this is the best pic I've been able to get of her in her tank...

I don't know if I'll be able to get a decent pic of her cause she's so small lol!
Everytime I look at her I'm like 'wow, she's tiny'. I just can't get over it
Hopefully she'll like her new plants tomorrow though. I've decided to cut my useless class (the teacher is from Africa and I can't understand a word he says... I'll just stay home and read the textbook lol) and go to the store to pick up stuff for Ambellina instead

Thanks!

Here's another pic to show her smallness

You can see a cory at the front, which is a young cory, not fully grown. I used to think they were tiny lol. Ambellina is above swimming around. That little blur up there

WOW! Thanks for taking a picture of her next to a cory. That really shows her size. So tiny!

Don't puffers need brackish tanks? I thought corys couldn't handle salt. Am I wrong?

There are many purely freshwater puffers, and dwarves are one of them

Oooh! Fun! I've wanted to get a puffer, but I don't want to go the salt water/brackish tank route yet. Uh oh! MTS flaring up!

Dwarf puffers are very tiny, and are guaranteed (never heard of them not working) to work with otos

You know you want one.... get another tank... get another tank... get another tank...

You're too funny, Pink! I've been thinking about moving my leopard gecko back to his 20 gallon terrarium to free up the 10 gallon aquarium he's occupying. I was going to use it for a betta, but I'm trying to decide between a betta or a dwarf puffer. I couldn't find a puffer profile in the freshwater section. Would one be okay in a 10 gallon? I love their cute little faces. They look like they're smiling!

Edit: Nevermind, I saw your sticky in the forum. Yay! It'll be a good size. Argh, more decisions.
