Me and my crazy puffer schemes...

I just felt like telling you all my short term puffer plans. I think it's just cause I'm really bored...

For my birthday I think my parents are gonna let me get a 55 gal (finally!) for my two gsps. (Hopefully it will stay at 2 for many years. Hold strong Pistachio) Of course, that means that I have to get rid of my desk... Worth it!
Then that'll leave my 20 gal brackish open... which would be perfect for a figure 8 puffer!
Then I'll have my 10 gallon with my bettas and cories and pleco. I'll have to take down my 5 gal minibow, and provided that my bettas are still alive (if all the bettas leave me by one way or another though, I'll get a dwarf puffy for that tank), please forgive me betta lovers, but I may sell one or two of my boys, or even better give them to a friend (if I can find one who can/will keep fish). Emerson could fetch a nice sum, and Donovan is a silly little fish. Of course I'd never sell my Winter. He is my precious baby. Please don't hate me betta people...
I don't know how I ever lived without puffers, and having a bunch of them will be so wonderful

How crazy are we, fish people? Getting rid of furniture and much needed space for fish tanks...

We'd never hate you. Everyone has a favorite kind of fish they like to keep and we know you'll find good homes for your betta babies.

55g for two little puffers seems like a lot of room.

I think just the whole Rodya/Dmitri thing has really turned me off from bettas...

Hehe, they're little now, but my gsps will grow up to be big and fat! (Hopefully. cross fingers...)

Sounds awesome! I'm sure the two puffers will love their new home.
I only take care of one betta, myself, largely because there's only so much panic I can deal with at any given time, and bettas seem to be one of the most panic-inducing fish when they get ill.

Thank god I am up here...I'd be taking both of your boys in two seconds.
Sometimes you gotta do what is best for your individual situation.
I am not deterred by Betta death...tho my bf probably wishes I did after losing all those betta kids this year.

Thanks everyone

SDS-I think that would be best for me too. Bettas may be in the "hardy fish" category, but it seems to be more because they survive multiple diseases, rather than not getting sick...

Allie-I'd love it if you could take them. Haha.

Donovan's starting to get his 'crownies' back on his fins, so hopefully soon he'll be back to his former glory.

If I get anymore bettas in the next few years, it'll probably be a girl. I'd love a white and/or torquoise one.

I think I just never connected with those two boys for some reason. I mean, I connected with my pleco more than with them.
