I had two puffers... well at first I was keeping them in my 10 gal tank with all my feeder fish.. all my feeder fish started dieing and their fins where getting eaten off. So today I put them in my big tank. My Oscar, being himself tryed to eat one.. he spit it out.. than my blue gill tried and spit it out than my gar tried and it got away then he went flopping around like he was crazy and about 10 minutes later ended up dead!?!?! does anyone know what has happened here?? Im so aggravated.. I loved my Gar!

puffers are NOT community fish. I'm guessing they were either dwarf or green spotted? Whichever they were, puffers are like miniature tiger barbs, but their temperament is alot worse dispite their small size. some puffers have been known to be poisonous if eaten, and thats probably what happened to your gar. The feeder fish had their fins torn and chewed due to the fin-nipping personality of the puffers.
