Should I get a puffer?

In a couple of months, I'm planning to upgrade to a jarger tank, 80ukgallon or more, I have a wide veriety of peaceful fish already, and a male betta, I quite fancy a puffer, but i'm unsure wether it is a good community fish, I don't want to buy one to keep in a tank by itself, as I like to see fish together.

Otherwise, what fish do they like to share with, I may be prepared to set up another system eventually, and this would be a good project for me to base it around.

Oh yeah, don't want marine setup, i like to spend time on my fish, but can't afford enough time for a marine tank.

Thanks

Trev

puffers arent a community fish, but make great pets in their own tank. Dwarf puffers are totally freshwater, but very agressive, but I'm sure you'd like it in its own tank. They basically can only be kept with ottos though, but they stay very small, about an inch. and you could easily keep 2 or 3 in a 10 gall, provided the ten gall is very planted.

In my local aquatic store, they have a quite large fresh water puffer, not sure of the species, it' s a greenish yellow. In the petshop there are a few loaches in the tank with it.

Any Ideas anybody?
