Our fav fish store has one and they say he is the only true freshwater puffer, he is rather big compared to the other puffers. I was wondering if the price could be cheaper if we shopped around though... he is 60 dollars! They also said he eats like a hog... does anyone know much about them? I am so tempted!

I don't know what type of puffer you are talking about but there is more then one true freshwater puffer from Africa. Dwarf Puffers for one are true freshwater and are really small while Mbu Puffers are another but get huge. Try this site if you want lots of info on puffers specifically:
