Till today I had 3 green spotted puffers in a 10 gallon tank in my office. When I got them they had ick, and their tails had been all nipped off and they were so cute that I just had to take them home. I knew all along that one day they would outgrow the tank and would have to be given away.

So today was that day. I saw one little bite mark on the side of one of the puffers when it turned a corner, and that was it. It wasn't bad or deep but it was very clear to me that they needed to go to bigger homes. So, the puffers went to the good local fish store today to their big brackish home for them. They have a bunch in stock right now, and they checked my water and it was great so they happily took in the three guys.

It is so sad though! I loved my pufferfish and they were such good companions!

The manager of the store give me a trade - I now have 3 tiny baby dwarf puffers! I changed out the water, and am using an old filter from a freshwater tank and they can now live in the 10 gallon together. Here's to hoping that these little guys keep me as good company as my bigger ones!

Congrats on the knew puffers though. That is sad about the old one's but dwarfs can have a lot of personality and keep you busy

yea, i want to get some of those little dwarf puffers myself. i hear a lot about their personality and they are cute little fish that i love the look of.

Yes, they are tiny and very cute. I really miss my green spotted puffers though, they would always meet me at the glass, and watch me type while I worked on the computer. Hopefully these little guys will learn to recognize me as "she who can be cuted into giving us bloodworms" sooner than later, because I must admit that I am pining for my puffers.

that's understandable, they are our pets and it's natural to miss them if you have to find a new home for them.

Aww, I'm sorry you had to part with your other puffers. I hope your new babies can win you over just as much.
