I have an aqua c remora skimmer working on my tank a month now broken in fine but overnight has started overproducing foam and the cup is filling up very quick to quick for me to keep it empty have adjusted the black ring up and down but no improvement really the only change i made to the tank was added deltec uv sterilizer yesterday but be surprised if that is causing the problem any suggestions?have it turned off at the moment

It sounds like something's wrong with the water/air injection into the unit, like the pump is drawing in air as well as water. Has the water level in your tank lowered to the point that the pump is partially exposed? Or is there some sort of aeration (like from water pouring in from a pump) near the powerhead?
Also, the review of the product says that many people have problems with the original RIO powerhead. If you can't find any other problems, you may want to upgrade to a higher quality powerhead. MaxJet and MagDrive are suggested in Fishlore's review of the product.

seem to have sorted problem was the pump im useing a maxijet 1200 tryed another maxi jet 1200 i have seems to be back to normal now thanks for the help sam
