Tadpoles question

Hi, I hope this is the right place to as this question because people have tadpoles in the ponds all the time.

So anyways, my friend gave me a bunch of tadpoles, and I put many of them in to my tank that has a lot of live plants but only three neon tetras. So I don't know what to feed them. I heard that people can feed tadpoles boiled cabbage, or lettuce. Something like that.

So what can I do to keep my tadpoles alive? I haven't fed them anything much really.

What kind of tadpoles are they. lol Frogs, I know, but what kind?
If they're very little like ADF tadpoles the fish will eat them.
Very young ones eat infusoria then graduate to baby brine shrimp.

I think I've read that they'll start out vegetarian, once they start to develop they're carnivores.

The tadpoles will learne to eat the fish flakes. As they get older, they will eat your neons.

I have a pond in my backyard and frogs and toads lay eggs in there all the time. My fish tank almost always has atleast 10tadpoles in it. I don't have to feed my tadpoles anything different. They are a good algae clean up crew. I have never seen them pick on my fish. But if your fish does happen to die then tadpole love to eat dead fish. I feed mine algaea wafers.

Every year my tiny makeshift pond in my yard is blessed at least once with frogs' eggs, which in turn become tadpoles, which replenish my supply of frogs. I love to hear them "sing" after a rain. Nature takes care of them all. Tadpoles will eat each other, too. They love Cheerios; dry cat & dog food, too. I think tadpoles will eat anything! These are wild, so I don't introduce them to my fish tanks.
