Hey quick question do you have a heater for the winter or does the water stays at cool temps?

no heater.....the water cools down and the fish go dormant.....usually below 40 F they start slowing down....don't feed them even if they beg!!...the bio also slows down starting below 50F. Same thing in the spring....hold back on the food til over 50 F. You're in Florida so the the basic rules need to be adjusted. My fish are dormant from Nov. to late March usually. Remember apply same rules as aquariums for amonia...bio filter MUST be working.

Only advice i have is if you have birds around the house, put a nice big net over the pond or the birds will eat the fish
