I'm rehoming my koi ...

and this person emailed a photo of where my koi would call home if I gave my koi to them. The guy says it's 3600 gallons and I'm going to check it out this weekend.

Does this fountain/pond look like it's large enough? Just the octagon shape worries me ... I thought this was going to be a large rectangular or square shaped pond.

maybe it's just the scale of the photo or something but that definitely doesn't look like it's 3600 gallons to me, it looks a LOT smaller than that

Yeah, looks more like a couple hundred to me... Is that it, maybe theres another pond as well. But I think your smart to look at it first. How many koi do you have?

I have 2 4 inch koi and I really hate to give them up but I don't have the space

I absolutely said in my listing that I will deliver to your house to inspect your pond and make sure that my koi can call it a good home.

No way that's 3600 gallons. I don't think that the koi will be able to move around enough.

It might be 360 gallons, but I doubt very much it is 3600 gallons. I'm looking at the plant in there and that plant doesn't get huge. So using that as a scale, I doubt very much that it is 3600. Did the guy give you measurements? Height of the base pool, width of the base pool? If so, you can figure gallons that way. The Koi might be okay for up to 1 year, but then they will need a larger home again.

He actually did mean to say 360g and assurred me that it's enough room for a koi to grow to 18" um...yeah I'm going to pass on giving you my koi.

I need to definitely revise my ad and make sure it says minimum is 1000 g for the pond.

I found a big wondeful 3000g pond for my 2 koi babies yesterday afternoon He lived very close to me and had numerous koi in there, even a really big beautiful orange butterfly koi.

After releasing my the two I spotted the gold/black one swimming about, they looked really content in there and definitely not in an aquarium
