Pond plants that can be submerged 6 iches but grow OUT of water

Hi
I plan to set up a small 45 gallon plastic lowes type pond in my yard . The pond is about 6 inches deep and wanted to add some plants in plastic flowerpots with gravel . IT will get about 6 hours of direct sun a day (Florida) rest of time indirect sun.

I have narrowed it down to cattails but wanted to mix it up . Local garden store in area has different types but they have no idea what can be constantly submerged at the base. They keep all their pond plants partially submerged but some look rotted and want plants that wont rot.

I know some plants sold are shore plants and 6 inches of water at the base will rot them.

Anyone have any suggestions? I like the look oF plants growing OUT of the water thus water lilies dont interest me. the plant wont have any fish in it just triops lol. I like them and have few egg packs

Thank you

Blue pickerel rush
Umbrella Palm
Water Bamboo
Water Hyacinth (beautiful flowers on this one)
Water Mint

That's all I can come up with (read: that's all I could find on a quick plantgeek search.)

great thanks a lot they sell very inexpensive Blue pickerel rush and
Umbrella Palm in local area going to go buy some . Those I like and will "match' with Cattails.

Lol I know water hyacthin is great but its illegal here . It looks like piece of Amazon as its in lots of canals and all over the Glades .

Though zillion who have ponds in area use it esp those with smaller fish like live bearers I decided not to but yes its pretty.

Thanks

Makes sense. I didn't check legality of anything, just looked at plantgeek.net for pond plants that grew above water.

Don't the pitcher plants need really acidic soil (like a peat bog) to live in?

And: Always the salesman (which reminds me)

Parrot feather is also pretty and would be good as a foreground since it stays fairly short - it would be good around the bases of the other plants.

I have parrots feather for sale too.

And yes, pitcher plants need acidic soil. I use spagnum moss.
