pop eye

Hello, I have a problem with one of my goldfish, from the pond, named Pop eye because she has one eye. anyway she has swelling on her back end, and this seems to be making her float on her back, i thought maybe swim bladder, any ideas would be very much appreciated, many thanks, Owain

Good morning. Sorry to hear that Pop Eye is having problems. I'm not sure what the problem is but the times I've had swim bladder issues I didn't notice any swelling. Sounds like she could have a tumor. Let's see what some others have to say. Best of luck and hope she is going to be ok.

Thanks for the reply aquarist48, maybe a tumor, I suppose there's not much i can do about it. I just wondered why it was keeping hem afloat, as if there was air trapped ? thank you for your kind words. owain

any pics? Sometimes if a fish is injured, the injured area will swell. What type of goldie is it? Common or one of the fancies?
