Well, I'm kind of excited. I just got me three American Flag Fish for my pond. Supposedly, it is one male and two female. I'm hoping they will breed and do well in my pond. They have taken this rock shelf as their home - it is fun to sit and watch them "graze" on the moss. They are still a bit smaller than their full grown size, and their colors are just starting to show. I think they were fairly stressed from the trip home. Most of the pet/fish stores around here don't carry them, or are always "out of stock". It took me 5 weeks to find a store that actually got them in when they ordered them! Anyway, they seem to get along fine with the
goldfish, and they sort of school with the mosquito fish - as long as the mosquito fish stay away from "their" rocks!
