Well to be blunt about the situation, he came on this whole post "bragging" about it, by saying he had a couple of pond fish in a 20g tank and an Arowana along w/ it. Not to mention this is the same person who had drank fish tank water, and won a goldfish at a fair and defended the fair venders right to give out the goldfish. (who knows what the goldfish is being kept in now?) So.. obviously and very sadly I am getting that neither the koi or the arowana are going to be properly housed, even if this person came onto this forum to get advice for proper fish keeping.
There, I finally said what was on my mind....

You didn't start anything, nor did you say anything improper! No one is being rude. There's a difference between rudeness and bluntness, and sometimes we must be blunt or emphatic in defense of those who have no voice.

At least we can say we tried.

you def didn't start anything, I have been on a "monster fish" kick ever since I found the monster fish rescue page. I cannot afford to donate money to them, however I do plan to buy a couple tee shirts, at least I can wear their logo and have people ask about the fish, and I can explain.
There are so many fish on that list you would not expect including a common pleco,we all know the one people put in a 10 gallon tank. I got really blunt, yes when you know that advice is refused from not one but all of the people.

I can say you guys tried and did an awesome job.

Shouldnt a koi pond be atleast 1000 gallons or something like that. That is what I read and I didnt read anything about keeping them in tanks so I am in great trouble with my fish and I just found out that I cant return them but I understand that I cant keep them. THe good thing is that the arowana hasnt been with me for so long I think for about a year so I wont feel so bad
I just really wanted to keep those fish. Oh well. Whatever happens you guys will always be my friends. As I grew older over night I realized how this had to be dealt with. Also so people wont get mad at me. I got many posts in the process. Yay! Oh well, Fishman...AWAY!!! I ment the jonathan, the jonathan away. The problem is I didnt do any research until I came to this site but atleast I know it wont happen with my saltwater tank but it is already happening so I guess I need a bigger tank. I hope this dosent make you guys sad but it makes me sad. Good thing I grew because with age comes wisdom.
And noone started anything. I still defend the fair guys though they are cool.
I guess I have been braking the rules a lot for just posting things when I know I can go on the internet and figure stuff out.

You forgot that I go to dictionary.com to find out how words are really spelled
and use the computer just to kill time and have a serious playing with my thumbs during class problem an every day seems like a miracle not to get banned and that fish died that I won at the fair. Just letting you know. I also get good grades at school and read alot on fish but not arowanas. I wish that pond were finished but ponds dont build themselves over night...or do they? hmph

And how are you going to deal with it? Here is an article that may explain why your fish haven't gotten bigger faster. http://www.bestfish.com/tips/020598.html It is from a stickie in the freshwater beginners forum. If the fish can't be returned maybe you could sell them to someone who has a bigger tank.

Getting posts was not the object of all these people trying to help your fish.

Yes it does make us sad when we work so hard to help a fish owner know how to take care of his/her fish and they won't listen. But a point comes when we realize that you are going to do what you will no matter what we say. We all realize how hard it is to get a bigger tank, and we've all made mistakes buying inappropriate fish but it's what you do about it that counts.thats just my

when I bought fish the guy at the store said they wont grow if you keep them in a small tank so that is what I did.

I understand LFS don't always give good advice but it's what YOU now do with these fish that counts.
