| oh she just got a 78 gallon tank she finished cycling a few weeks ago and in there at the moment i think she has:
1 royal plec(3 or 4 inches)
7 gold barbs
4 neon rainbows
she has quite a lot of space left its a nice tank well planted, caves so she loves them both a lot but doesn't know if she could get both since clown loaches have to be in groups Last edited by Redtail97; June 26th, 2009 at 11:38 AM.

| Clown loaches really need to be in a community of other clown loaches - the more the merrier. And they get quite large. |

| There can be only one.....but since it's a large tank can try three....but I am not really sure. Need some opinions from other members. http://www.elmersaquarium.com/10sharks.htm Last edited by AlyeskaGirl; June 26th, 2009 at 12:23 PM.

| Hello. I'd vote for 1 red tail shark. Personally I don't think there is room for 2 even in a 78g tank. I have a 155g tank and I wouldn't even consider adding another shark (I have a red finned shark). I think there would be too much aggression.
As for the Clown Loaches they can grow to 12 inches and should be kept as a group as mentioned. Too, I'd want them in a much larger tank as well. |

| Personally I've never kept Kuhlis' so wait for an experienced Kuhlis person to respond. I'm sure they will |

| I have a RTS and I love her. I keep mine with rainbow fish... My RTS chases the rainbows sometimes... but just as often I see her swimming along with them like she's one of the gang. I don't know much about loaches... but I've read others that keep both say that they get along fine. |

| i would say you could get 1 RTS, they are too territorial to have more than 1 in that size of tank, I personally wouldn't get clown loaches they need to be in a minimum of a 6 foot long tank and be in a school no smaller than 5. The tank you mentioned is far to small for them.
The kuhlis would work but you need to get a minimum of 3 as they are social fish, they are nocturnal so you rarely see them, but if you have dim lights and plenty of hiding spaces they might come out during the day. They don't provide much bio load for there size which is great, but being a loach they should be added to established tanks and care should be taken to keep the water in pristine condition.

| I would go with red tail sharks. They look good, and I hear that they are exotic species of sharks that can live in freshwater
Also, they look very good in pairs or groups. |

| oh she said he is waitiNG for her LFS t restoc they don't have any at the moment and plus sharks can only go on their own unless have very big well planted tanks so its unlikely you can get them in pairs |
